Grana Padano is an unpasteurised, hard cheese with a sweet, fruity flavour, a long aftertaste and is matured for at least 20 months. Created by the Cistercian monks of Chiaravalle in the 12th century, it is still made throughout the Po River Valley in northeastern Italy to this day. Grana means grainy in Italian which is reflected in the fine granular texture with an intensely sweet flavour. As Grana Padano ages, the flavours become pronounced, savory and complex and the texture becomes more crumbly.

Perfect on a cheese platter or antipasti board, you can also try it with a drizzle of aged balsamic vinegar or with a glass of Barolo or Gavi white wine.

This product contains animal rennet, therefore it's not suitable for vegetarians. Contains Milk and dairy. Unpasteurised. Please note, the rind of this cheese is not edible.
